Mark wasn’t born in Savannah, but he got here as fast as he could! After spending nearly three decades working in banking, corporate learning and leadership development, Mark knows what truly drives long-term client satisfaction and project success - and it’s not his Chicago accent. Clients choose to work with Mark because he believes and practices the principle that listening to understand should always precede decision and action. He connects and delights clients by epitomizing his personal and professional values of integrity, positivity and high trust.
Mark and his bride moved here four years ago and immediately fell in love with Savannah and its people. Passionate about music, golf, history, architecture and Southern cuisine, Mark likes to say that Savannah “plays big” in every one of these hallmark strengths. Mark is a grateful transplant who willingly shares his unbounded “newbie” enthusiasm through his powerful journey of deep and genuine immersion into Savannah’s culture. In addition to his professional endeavors, Mark is a dedicated contributor to the community, and he serves in leadership roles with several Savannah organizations including The Savannah Philharmonic Chorus, The Coastal Georgia Camellia Society, and The Lutheran Church of the Ascension. He also proudly serves at St Joseph/Candler Hospital as founding president of the Savannah Mended Hearts chapter, a volunteer group supporting recovering heart surgery patients.
Mark is a proud undergraduate alumnus of the University of Illinois and holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate Business School of Northwestern University. He is the most joyful father and bonus father of five awesome adult children.
Mark’s sole objective in any business relationship is to meet each client’s needs exactly. With Engel and Volkers, Mark’s market focus includes Savannah’s Historic and Victorian Districts, Midtown and The Islands. Mark would love to chat with you, and you will find him to be an abundant guy with his time, optimism and ideas. You may see Mark zipping around town on his yellow Vespa scooter – so honk and wave when you do!
